Dinosaur Kale
Do you love fresh, local, sustainably-grown veggies delivered weekly to your front door? Bushy Tail Farm will be selling CSA shares for fall 2012 beginning in August. If you live in Saxapahaw or the Woodcroft neighborhood in Durham, you will receive to-your-door home delivery! Customers in surrounding areas will be notified of a pickup site close to their home or work. The Fall/Winter CSA will run for 12 weeks, beginning in early October and ending in December. Each week, customers will receive $20 worth of responsibly grown veggies grown only at Bushy Tail Farm.
Community Supported Agriculture, or a “CSA,” is appropriate for someone who loves most vegetables, enjoys eating in the season (you won’t get any tomatoes in November!), and understands that a subscription is a ticket to ride the successes and failures of the season. We try our best to provide variety within and between weeks. Liz welcomes substitutions for vegetables you may not enjoy.

1 medium butternut squash
1 lb sweet potatoes
1/2 lb salad mix
1 bunch kale
1 bunch beets
1 bunch salad turnips
1 bunch chives
Sample share mid-season:
1 bunch radishes
1 lb broccoli
1 bunch parsley
Large head lettuce
1 bunch carrots
1/4 lb arugula
1 bunch scallions

1 head Cabbage
1 lb Brussels Sprouts
1/2 lb spinach
1/2 lb winter salad mix
1 lb beets
1 bunch collards
1 lb leeks
